AMD Unveils FSR Redstone, Enhancing Radeon Performance

10 Dec 2025

AMD has announced the soft launch of FSR Redstone, a new suite of machine-learning graphics enhancements for Radeon PCs. As of 2025-12-10, the company has expanded support to over 200 games for its ML upscaling feature, formerly known as FSR4.

Expanded Game Support

FSR Redstone doubles the number of supported games for AMD's ML-based upscaling technology. This includes more than 30 games now compatible with ML-based frame generation, offering significant framerate improvements and enhanced image quality. The adoption of these features, however, remains limited to the Radeon RX 9000-series graphics cards.

New Features and Integration

FSR Redstone incorporates new functionalities, such as FSR Ray Regeneration and FSR Radiance Caching. While Ray Regeneration is currently in one game, Radiance Caching aims for developer availability by 2026. Users can activate these features in the AMD Software app, enhancing gaming experiences when paired with compatible titles.

Market Implications

Despite slow adoption of the RX 9000 series, the market may see a boost as Radeon RX 9070 and 9070 XT models return to their original MSRPs. The integration of FSR Redstone into existing systems may increase appeal by leveraging improved graphics capabilities and performance metrics.
