NTDEV has unveiled an updated version of its Tiny11 Builder, aimed at creating streamlined Windows 11 installations. This update caters particularly to users keen on a minimal Windows environment by facilitating the removal of optional components, such as Copilot, the new Outlook client, and Microsoft Teams. The tool is designed to function seamlessly with Windows 11 version 25H2 and is compatible with all SKUs, multiple languages, and both x64 and arm64 architectures.
Aimed at Efficiency
The Tiny11 Builder update promises increased efficiency by generating smaller installation images. This is achieved through the use of Microsoft's LZMS compression technology. It is a striking advantage for users requiring a lightweight operating system, as the new version has been rigorously tested across several Windows releases, including Windows 11 versions 24H2, 25H2, and Canary Build 27934. The focus is on reducing installation space while maintaining essential functionalities.
Simplified Installation Process
Tiny11 Builder operates as a PowerShell script, named tiny11maker.ps1, which can pare down a fresh official Windows ISO. This script collaborates with oscdimg.exe from the Windows ADK to create bootable ISOs. The tool also provides the option to bypass traditional Windows 11 system requirements, offering additional flexibility during the installation process. NTDEV includes an unattended answer file to skip the Microsoft Account Out-Of-Box Experience (OOBE), further simplifying setup for users.
Development and Customization
An enhanced version, labeled
As systems and applications continue to require more resources, tools like Tiny11 Builder offer a promising pathway to maintain efficient, nimble installations by stripping down non-essential components. For businesses and individual users keen on saving space and improving performance, NTDEV's updates come as a welcome advancement in OS customization and management.
