TWW3 Hotfix to Address AI and Recruitment Issues by Early November

25 Oct 2025

Creative Assembly is set to release hotfix 6.3.4 for Total War: Warhammer 3 (TWW3) in early November, addressing AI and recruitment issues.

AI and Recruitment Improvements

The update aims to resolve major issues impacting idle armies and recruitment for Chaos Dwarfs. According to Head of Community Adam Freeman, idle armies, resulting from conflicting AI tasks, defensive prioritization, and diplomacy misalignment, will see significant improvements. The Ogre Kingdom's legendary lord, Golgfag Maneater, will undergo adjustments to enhance campaign activity.

Patch Focus and Testing

Testing primarily targets new campaigns to better reflect the fixes. Existing saves with entrenched AI issues might not completely recover, prompting some players to start fresh. The Chaos Dwarfs' recruitment system shows potential progress, though additional testing aims to prevent new issues. The diplomacy AI remains partially unresolved but is being closely monitored.

Release Timeline

The soft release date for hotfix 6.3.4 is 2023-11-06, with a larger update—the Tides of Torment DLC—planned for 2023-12-04. Creative Assembly’s focus on addressing these problems underlines their commitment to improving TWW3.
