Prologue, the survival game from Brendan Greene, is set to expand with three planned DLCs, focusing on world depth and infrastructure.
Development Focus
As Prologue progresses in early access, developer Brendan Greene has clarified the team's priorities. Rather than adding wildlife like bears, the focus is on creating a more complete game world with paths, power lines, and larger points of interest. Greene emphasized: "I think the weather is sufficiently worrying at this stage."
Greene's team is working on improvements that include hotfixes and new modes introduced since early access began. While users have requested multiplayer modes, Greene considers co-op a potential third DLC but stresses that the team is not pressured to implement it immediately.
Future Expansions
The DLCs plan to enrich the game's story and depth. Greene mentioned the potential for underground areas in future DLCs, providing new map areas linked to the story.
Prologue's early access phase is expected to last around one year but may extend if necessary for technical refinements. Greene stresses the importance of a balanced game world that runs well, improving visuals and performance rather than merely adding threats.
