Duke Nukem: Horror Castle Mod Adds Halloween Fun

12 Oct 2025

The Duke Nukem: Horror Castle mod by WilliamGee brings a Halloween twist to the classic game with new enemies, weapons, and features, now available on ModDB.

Enhanced Gameplay and Features

The Horror Castle mod introduces significant updates for Duke Nukem fans, providing a nine-level campaign set in gothic fortresses. Players can expect 3–5 hours of game time enhanced by 24 new enemies, including skeletons and Nosferatu-like bloodsuckers, along with four minibosses borrowed from D3D.

The mod also includes unique gameplay elements such as the Bone Crusher weapon, which fires skeletal shrapnel, and a new mechanic where Duke regains health by consuming the contents of skulls. Players can toss enormous spiders at enemies to increase the challenge.

Halloween Updates

Originally released in May, the updated version of the mod adds Halloween-themed items, including pumpkins and ghosts. It also features a new secret level featuring bespoke enemies, augmenting the eerie atmosphere of the game.

WilliamGee has crafted a unique Halloween entertainment experience, transforming Duke Nukem into a holiday-themed adventure that merges frightening fun with the nostalgia of a classic game.
