Cities Skylines 2's Bridges and Ports DLC Released Amid Criticism

30 Oct 2025

Colossal Order has released the Bridges and Ports expansion for Cities Skylines 2, priced at $19.99. This addition brings a variety of new features but has stirred frustration due to the perceived high cost relative to the base game's ongoing issues.

New Features in the Expansion

The Bridges and Ports DLC introduces substantial content, including customizable harbors and maritime industries such as fishing. It adds 20 new bridge types, like drawbridges and lift bridges, along with parks, lighthouses, and leisure piers. The expansion also opens up ports, ships, ferries, and new traffic dynamics around bridge openings.

Player Reactions and Pricing Concerns

The $19.99 price tag, nearly half the price of the base game, has raised eyebrows among players. Many believe the content should have been part of the original game, especially as Cities Skylines 2 grapples with performance issues, crashes, and absent features. The game's current Steam review score remains at about 53% positive.

Sales and Reception

The asset editor, delayed until after this DLC release, further agitated the modding community. Despite gaining some praise for its features, the Bridges and Ports expansion holds a "mixed" reception, with around 64% of the reviews recommending it. The DLC is included in the CS2 Ultimate Edition, priced at $89.99.
