Project Diablo 2 Season 12 is set to enhance the game's ranged combat by introducing new ammo types. This update will feature distinct ammunition for bows and crossbows, including Crude, Sharp, and Razer Arrows as well as Light, Heavy, and War Bolts.
New Ammo and Features
The new ammo types are designed to boost gameplay diversity. Arrows now offer implicit boosts to maximum damage, while bolts provide physical resistance shredding. Additional crafting recipes and runewords will be available, along with 12 unique ammo items: six arrows and six bolts.
- Tombsong arrows summon and buff skeleton archers, increase pierce chance and damage to undead.
- Frozen Sorrow bolts enhance cold skills and can deliver deadly strikes.
Additional Game Enhancements
Aside from ammo, other notable changes include a reworked Blizzard skill for area damage, increased corrupted-zone map drop rates, and a stash search field. Large charms are now capable of rolling faster cast rate and increased attack speed prefixes.
Upcoming Stream Announcement
The exact start date of Season 12 will be confirmed during the next developer stream, scheduled for 2023-11-08. A legitimate copy of Diablo II and its Lord of Destruction expansion is necessary for play.
