God of War Ragnarok PC Release Boasts Enhanced Graphics and Performance

20 Sep 2024

Enhancements and Accessibility Features

God of War Ragnarok has made its grand entrance onto the PC platform, bringing with it a host of graphical and performance upgrades that promise to elevate the gaming experience. Among the most notable additions are two new settings designed to enhance player customization.

One of the standout features is the introduction of cinematic audio descriptions, which offer valuable contextual information for players with low vision. This thoughtful enhancement aims to create a richer and more immersive experience. However, it is the option to reduce the frequency of puzzle hints from companions that is likely to resonate most with players. Many found that these hints often arrived before they had the chance to engage with the puzzles themselves, diminishing the sense of accomplishment that comes from solving them independently.

The PC version of God of War Ragnarok also benefits from the robust capabilities that come with gaming on a computer. Players can enjoy ultrawide support, unlocked frame rates, and compatibility with Nvidia DLSS, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS. Additionally, it includes the recently launched God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla DLC, further enriching the gameplay experience.

With the arrival of the PC version, speculation is rife about the potential for a PS5 Pro enhancement for God of War Ragnarok. Sony’s new console is set to release on November 7, with pre-orders starting on September 26. However, early analyses of the PS5 Pro have yielded mixed results, as many titles appear to maintain their 30fps modes or retain existing performance settings, albeit with improved resolution.

In anticipation of the PS5 Pro pre-orders, Sony is expected to host a new State of Play presentation, where fans may catch a glimpse of the much-anticipated Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered.

How to get Storm of Fire in God of War Ragnarok?

To get the "Storm of Fire" in God of War Ragnarok, players must progress through the main storyline until they reach a specific point. Typically, this involves completing certain quests or defeating particular bosses. Storm of Fire can be acquired through in-game objectives and activities, so thorough exploration and quest completion are key. Always keep an eye out for any prompts or hints provided during gameplay that guide you towards obtaining such powerful abilities.

Is there a way to play God of War Ragnarok on PC?

As of now, God of War Ragnarok is exclusively available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. However, previous titles in the series, like the 2018 God of War, have eventually made their way to PC. While there's no official announcement for a PC version of Ragnarok at this time, it’s possible that it could be released on PC in the future. Keep an eye on official announcements from Sony for any updates regarding a PC release.
