Kaspersky has recently made significant adjustments to its operations in the United States, withdrawing its anti-malware software from the devices of its US customers. Following its addition to the Entity List in June, a designation that identifies “foreign individuals, companies, and organizations deemed a national security concern,” Kaspersky ceased its US operations and laid off its domestic workforce. The Biden administration’s announcement of the ban was rooted in concerns over potential national security risks.
In September, Kaspersky began reaching out to its customers, reassuring them that they would continue to receive cybersecurity protection through UltraAV.
