Enhanced Power Mode Customization
As depicted in the accompanying screenshot, users can now designate distinct power modes for their devices when they are plugged in versus when they are operating on battery. Previously, the system allowed for only a single power mode applicable to all scenarios.
While Windows had the capability to automatically adjust certain power settings based on whether the device was connected to a power source or running on battery, the specific “Power Mode” options—such as “Best Performance,” “Balanced,” or “Best Power Efficiency”—did not have separate configurations for these two states.
With the latest update, users can conveniently set their preferred Power Mode for both scenarios directly within the Settings menu. When connected to a power source, maximizing performance becomes a priority, as battery life is no longer a concern. Conversely, when operating on battery, users may opt for a power-saving mode to prolong battery longevity.
This update allows for an automatic transition between these modes, ensuring that users can enjoy optimal performance or efficiency based on their current power situation.
