In the virtual world of Hytale, players can obtain softwood planks by processing logs from specific tree types. Beech and aspen trees are the primary sources, each with distinct features: beech trees have light brown logs and bright green leaves, while aspen trees bear white-speckled logs with orange leaves. To acquire softwood, these logs must be processed at the Builder's Workbench.
Softwood Plank Creation
The process of obtaining softwood planks involves two key steps. First, players must chop down beech or aspen trees to collect logs. These logs are then taken to the Builder's Workbench, a crucial tool in transforming raw materials into useful building components, such as steps, windows, and furniture. The choice of logs influences the type of wood produced: oak and ash produce hardwood, while birch yields lightwood.
Using Softwood Planks
Softwood planks serve as an essential building material within Hytale. Early in the game, players are required to gather five softwood blocks to upgrade the Farmer's Workbench to Tier 2. This upgrade unlocks new seeds and farming items, enhancing gameplay and providing additional crafting opportunities.
