Old School RuneScape (OSRS) will celebrate its 25th anniversary throughout 2026 with new in-game content and special merchandise, Jagex announced.
Upcoming In-Game Content
Major updates for OSRS in 2026 include the return of Leagues in April, featuring bonus experience, new Echo bosses, and various power enhancements. Deadman: Annihilation, a temporary mode, will run until 2026-02-21, coinciding with ticket sales for the Deadman: Allstars finale in Chicago.
Sailing enthusiasts can look forward to numerous expansions throughout the year. Spring will bring crucial boat-combat enhancements, while summer will introduce a player-designed island along with combat updates and the Red Reef quest. Fall includes the Barracuda Trial, further developing an existing storyline, and a broader sea expansion is planned for later in the year.
Storylines and Raids
The Myreque storyline will reach its climax with the 'Blood Moon Rises' grandmaster quest, posing new challenges including the Maggot King boss and fresh skilling activities.
The Fractured Archive, OSRS's first raid in more than four years, is scheduled for winter and is said to be the toughest raid to date for the game.

The anniversary celebration also includes a merchandise collection with retro font keycaps, featuring a hand-painted TzKal-Zuk piece, a special-edition PC, Godsword wall art, a login-screen mousepad, and a Wise Old Man acrylic light.
