Google's Gemini Now Generates Slide Presentations from Text

29 Oct 2025

Google has introduced a new feature in its Gemini AI, allowing users to create slide presentations directly from a simple text prompt or uploaded document. This capability is currently being rolled out on the web, with completion expected by 2025-11-12. Future updates will include support for Android and iOS.

How Gemini Creates Presentations

Gemini utilizes its AI capabilities to generate structured presentations complete with themes and images. Users can access this feature via the Canvas option in the toolbar, simply asking Gemini to "create a presentation." The generated slides can then be exported to Google Slides for further refinement and collaboration.

Use Cases and Availability

This new functionality is designed to benefit a broad spectrum of users. Professionals can efficiently create pitch decks from written briefs, while educators can use it to draft lesson presentations with integrated visual aids. Students will also find it useful for transforming notes into coherent slide decks. Although the rollout is web-focused initially, support for mobile platforms will follow.

Timeline and Integration

The web rollout is expected to conclude by 2025-11-12, after which Gemini's presentation capabilities will expand to other platforms. This timeline ensures that users have access to effective tools for creating dynamic presentations, improving workflow efficiency across diverse fields.
