Could one of PlayStation’s more controversial games be headed to PC? It seems so if this “unofficial” confirmation is taken as read. When this PlayStation title first launched, we described it as being packed full of “non-stop action”. Unfortunately, while many agreed the action hardly stopped, the experience was dogged by controversy. First, with “unintentional” racist art, followed swiftly by fans upset over so-called censorship, resulting in them requesting full refunds.
If you haven’t guessed the game already, we’re talking about Stellar Blade. A new Shift Up job listing for a combat designer has gone live, and with it comes a sea of theories over what this PC orientated job is all about. Many believe it to be confirmation that Stellar Blade is coming to PC very soon. What is more, DLC is “also hinted” if you read the full job specifications.
Speculations and Fan Theories
The Redditor who spotted the role also mentions how this job could be for a “new game altogether”, though the majority of the fandom are hoping for the Stellar Blade PC port instead. Mainly due to all of the mod possibilities. Quite frankly, I doubt anyone is ready for what the NexusMods community will unleash on the world when the PC version drops.
As many fans joked, it’ll take “one hour” for the modding community to become as cursed as humanly possible. “The PC version is going to be disgusting lol. Poor Eve,” commented one user. Poor Eve, indeed. But let’s not forget that the DLC coming first is arguably the more logical progression here, as detailed by one fan. “We have the roadmap for Stellar Blade,” they explained, “So, DLC is likely, and a PC Port would come out after that since it is not on the roadmap going up until April 2025.” We could be getting our hopes up for nothing, however, it seems that the controversy surrounding this PS game is set to come to PC in a big way.
