Nvidia's GeForce Now Expands Game Streaming with New Titles and Features

08 Aug 2024

Nvidia’s GeForce Now streaming service has carved out a distinctive niche for itself among PC gamers. By allowing users to tap into their existing libraries from platforms like Steam, Epic, and others, it sidesteps the need for a traditional subscription model reminiscent of Netflix. Instead, it offers a more personalized gaming experience, leveraging the collections gamers have already built over time.

As of now, Nvidia boasts the capability to stream over 2,000 PC games, a commendable feat that underscores its commitment to expanding the service since its inception.

A recent review of the comprehensive list of supported titles on Nvidia’s promotional page reveals that the company is transparent about its offerings. Each game is listed only once, with the respective storefronts noted, ensuring clarity and avoiding any potential confusion regarding double-counting.

New Titles and Future Releases

The latest weekly update introduces the early access version of Frost Giant’s real-time strategy game, Stormgate. Looking ahead, gamers can anticipate exciting new releases later in August, including Star Wars Outlaws, Black Myth: Wukong, Visions of Mana, and Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freaks.

To utilize GeForce Now, players must own a copy of the game they wish to stream, which must be linked to a supported PC game store such as Steam, Epic, GOG, Microsoft/Xbox, EA, or Ubisoft. Once this requirement is met, users can enjoy remote streaming from Nvidia’s data centers via a PC app, mobile app, or directly through a browser. This browser-based option is particularly advantageous for those looking to play high-end games on portable devices like the Steam Deck.

Subscription Tiers and Promotional Offers

While free users are limited to one-hour gaming sessions and will encounter advertisements, Nvidia offers upgraded tiers starting at $9.99 per month. Currently, a promotional sale allows access for just $4.99 per month, which includes enhanced graphics, extended session times, and an ad-free experience.
