Google has rolled out Android 16 QPR3 Beta 1.1, addressing app crashes affecting Pixel devices in the Android 16 QPR3 beta. Released through the Android Beta Program, the update aims to restore app stability after recent disruptions.
Stability Restoration Focus
The app crashes emerged earlier this month when beta testers reported issues, including apps crashing at launch. Android 16 QPR3 Beta 1.1 targets this instability, as confirmed by Google's internal bug references.
The patch prevents crashes at startup for various Pixel devices. Most receive build CP11.251114.007; the Pixel 7a, specifically, gets CP11.251114.004.A2. It is a minor update, approximately 58 MB, rolled out over-the-air.
Installation Scope and Method
Only Pixel devices enrolled in the Android Beta Program and running the QPR3 beta can install this patch. Supported models include Pixel 6 series and newer, alongside Pixel Fold, Pixel Tablet, and Pixel 8, 9, and 10 series. Devices on the stable channel are not affected.
To install, users need to check for updates via Settings under System Software. Alternatively, those not yet enrolled can opt-in via Google's Android Beta Program website or apply the update manually.
