The Android 16 QPR2 Beta 3 includes a '+' button next to app shortcuts, allowing users to pin them directly to the home screen. Additionally, a Live Caption shortcut is now available in the volume controls. Users will notice slightly larger icons for the microphone, Google Lens, and AI Mode in the home screen search bar.
Stability and Bug Fixes
This update addresses numerous issues for Pixel device users:

- Correcting home screen shortcuts that appeared as blank gray circles.

Release and Availability
OTA updates for Android 16 QPR2 Beta 3 have started rolling out to eligible Pixel devices. Users can also sideload the update if preferred. Google plans to release the stable version of Android 16 QPR2 to all users in December 2025.
