In a move to enhance user experience, Google is reportedly exploring a new feature within its Gemini platform. Dubbed the "Created by you" hub, this addition aims to streamline the organization of content generated by users, offering a centralized location for various types of outputs.
Organizing User-Generated Content
The initiative, uncovered via a teardown of the Google app beta version 16.35.63 by Android Authority, reveals plans for a section dedicated to efficiently storing and retrieving user-generated content. This new hub will store items such as images, videos, code snippets, documents, and logs of Deep Research sessions, offering a more structured approach to content management.
Previously, users had to navigate through the “My Stuff” section, but the rebranded “Created by you” hub can be found within Gemini's hamburger menu under the “New Chat” option. This change is aimed at providing a more streamlined and user-friendly experience, allowing users to quickly locate and access their generated content without the need to sift through lengthy chat histories.
A Nod to ChatGPT’s Library
The layout and functionality bear resemblance to ChatGPT's Library, which similarly organizes content for easier access. This alignment suggests a growing trend in AI platforms towards providing efficient ways to manage user outputs.
According to reports, the hub would also include results generated with Canvas tools alongside logs from Deep Research sessions. This comprehensive approach ensures that all forms of user interaction and creativity within Gemini are captured and accessible.
Current Status and Future Rollout
Although Android Authority has successfully tested a working version with specific technical tweaks, the feature is currently not available to the general public. As of now, there is no official timeline communicated by Google for a wider release.
The anticipation builds within the community as they await the potential deployment of this feature, which promises to simplify the way users interact with and manage their content on Gemini.
