Google has introduced a new 'Answer Now' button for its Gemini app, significantly enhancing response speed by bypassing in-depth thinking. The feature is accessible to users of Gemini 3 Pro and Gemini 3 Thinking/Flash models, excluding the Fast model.
Answer Now Feature and Usage Limits
The 'Answer Now' button allows users to receive rapid replies without switching to the Fast model, simply by asking a question and tapping the button. Google stated that this feature would replace the previous 'Skip' button and be available across all Gemini accounts on Android, iOS, and web platforms.
Usage limits vary between account types: AI Pro users receive up to 300 Thinking prompts and 100 Pro prompts daily, while AI Ultra accounts get 1,500 Thinking prompts and 500 Pro prompts per day. These constraints also apply to those with 'Basic access'.
Personal Intelligence Feature
In addition to 'Answer Now', Google maintains the Personal Intelligence feature, which allows Gemini to personalize responses by connecting to the user's Google data such as Gmail and search history. This feature remains disabled by default, with users being able to select specific Google apps Gemini can access.
Implications for Gemini Users
With the integration of 'Answer Now', Google signals a shift towards faster, more efficient AI responses within its Gemini app. This update might provide a competitive edge against other AI services by optimizing user experience through speed and enhanced personalization options.
