Google has enhanced integration between Google Keep and Google Tasks, allowing reminders from Keep to appear in Tasks and Google Calendar. This change, initiated in April 2024 and commencing rollout on 2025-10-13, aims to streamline task management for users by reducing the need to switch between apps.
App Rollout and Availability
The rollout of this integration began via Rapid Release, with a full rollout expected to conclude within 15 days. Users are advised to update their Google Keep and Google Tasks apps to access this new feature, although Google Workspace administrators might need to enable the new permissions for their organization.
Integration Benefits and Features
This update improves interoperability among Google's app ecosystem by centralizing task and reminder management. Users will find their reminders more accessible and easier to manage, directly increasing productivity. It's designed to facilitate seamless user interaction across Google's suite of applications, enhancing overall workflow efficiency.
Security Update
Alongside this development, Google users are encouraged to update their Google passwords due to attempted security breaches. Being proactive about security settings will help maintain account integrity.
