Google Introduces Images Tab on iOS and Android

14 Nov 2025

Google has launched a new feature in the Google app on iOS and Android: the Images tab. This tab offers a Discover-style feed, providing users with personalized visual content tailored to their interests and activity. The algorithm refines its suggestions over time based on ongoing user interactions.

Functionality and Features

The Images tab is accessible from the bottom navigation of the Google app, positioned alongside Home, Search, Notifications, and Activity tabs. Users can interact with photos and graphics by saving them to collections or sharing them. Additionally, initiating new searches directly from images is supported. Content is classified into topics, including a general 'For you' feed and more specific personalized topic pages.

Launch Timeline and Scope

This feature began its rollout in the United States this week and will gradually become available to all iOS and Android users. The update aligns with a series of app enhancements leading up to the holiday season, which also includes AI-driven shopping tools designed for natural-language queries and inventory management.
