Gemini Live has introduced expanded integration features with several Google applications, significantly enhancing its capabilities for users. These new integrations, initially rolled out in June, include compatibility with Google Keep, Google Calendar, Google Tasks, and Google Maps. As these functionalities gradually become more accessible, they promise to streamline how users manage their productivity tools.
Enhancing Productivity Through Integrations
To make use of these integrations, users need to activate the Google Workspace toggle found in the apps section of Gemini's account switcher menu. Notably, the Maps toggle is located towards the lower part of the settings page. Once activated, Gemini Live allows users to create or open notes and checklists in Google Keep, seamlessly add entries to the Google Calendar, and utilize Google Tasks for setting reminders. These activities trigger a confirmation chip – e.g., 'Note created' – offering the convenience of an undo option.

Mapping the New Features
While the Gemini Live Maps integration can help locate nearby places, it currently does not support access to private saved places or customized lists. This feature supports a seamless experience as users can quickly find and explore locations using Google Maps directly within Gemini Live.
Availability Across Platforms
These updates are progressively being introduced to both stable and beta versions of the Google app on Android and are also making their way to iOS devices. Whether users are on the free version or have subscribed to the Google AI Pro/Ultra plan, they can access these powerful first-party app integrations.
With these enhancements, Gemini Live reinforces its position as a versatile and dynamic tool, allowing users to integrate various Google apps and streamline their digital workflow. As more users gain access to these features, Gemini Live is set to enhance productivity and user satisfaction, promising smooth interactions between Google AI applications and the conventional tools that users already love and rely on.
