The Google app has launched a new Images tab for users across the United States, providing a personalized image feed on Android and iOS.
Features and Accessibility
This new feature mimics Pinterest by offering a personalized experience based on user-selected interests. Upon first opening the Images tab, users are prompted to choose topics that interest them. The tab then curates a feed from publicly available images found on Google Search.
In addition to browsing, users can share, save, or hide images they find. The integration of Google Lens allows for easy image searches by long-pressing an image.
Availability and Integration
The Images tab is integrated into the Google app alongside Home, Search, Notifications, and Activity tabs. The rollout is currently ongoing and is expected to be available to all US users over the coming weeks. However, there is no information on availability outside the United States yet.
