Snapseed 3.0 has officially launched on iOS, introducing a redesigned editor and the new Snapseed Camera feature. This update marks a significant revamp for the photo editor, adding enhanced functions and retro film filters.
Snapseed 3.0 Features
The updated Snapseed app includes a refreshed editor interface comprising three tabs: Looks, Faves, and Tools. Users can quickly access marked favorite tools in the Faves tab. The editor offers a robust set of over 25 tools across four categories: Adjust & Correct, Retouch & Transform, Style, and Creative. Notable additions include RAW editing and color correction curves, complemented by film-style filters.
New Snapseed Camera
The Snapseed Camera allows users to capture photos with film-inspired styles reminiscent of traditional film stocks. The viewfinder displays the chosen film style and strength in real-time. Users can also select grain application post-capture, switch films, apply color themes, and control flash.
- Supports rear and selfie cameras
- Includes styles like KP1 (Kodak Portra 400) and FS1 (Fuji Superia 200)
- Real-time viewfinder effects
Android Update Timeline
While iOS users already enjoy the new features, Android users can expect updates shortly. According to product manager Giles Ochs, work on the Android version began in November 2025, with a rollout anticipated in the coming months. The upgraded editor and Snapseed Camera will be included in the Android update.
