Warframe, the popular online action game, will launch globally on Android devices on 2024-02-18. This release will include features like Cross Play and Cross Save for a seamless gaming experience across platforms. A soft launch in Canada begins on 2024-02-11.
Launch Details and Requirements
To access Warframe on Android, players will need a device with a 64-bit ARM64 processor, Android OS 12.0 or higher, and at least 4GB of RAM. Players who log into Warframe on Android by 2024-03-04 will receive the Cumulus Collection, comprising special weapon and armor cosmetics and resource boosters.
The Shadowgrapher Update Features
Coinciding with the Android launch is the Shadowgrapher update, introducing the 64th Warframe, Follie, inspired by inkblot aesthetics. The update brings a new mission set in a haunted painting environment and enhances character appearance options with distinct facial features for Operators and Drifters. Players can also replay The Old Peace quest.
Upcoming Releases and Events
Warframe developers revealed a Nintendo Switch 2 version planned for Q1 2026. This edition targets 60 FPS and 1080p resolution in handheld and docked modes. Other improvements include faster load times and refined controls. In the meantime, Origin System updates will offer new cosmetics and host events such as the Star Days Valentine's event running from 2024-02-04 to 2024-03-02, providing rewards like weapon skins and profile cosmetics.
