The Google Gemini app, observed on Pixel devices, is undergoing a visual refresh with updated color schemes and features in version 16.45.62.
Updated Color Schemes
The app now boasts bolder color themes. The homepage features a darker black for the dark theme and a grayer shade for the light theme. Prompt boxes and conversations maintain their previous color settings.
New Features and Updates
A 'My Stuff' section in the navigation drawer allows users to preview the last three generated images, texts, or videos and access all media. On the homepage, a 'Where should we start?' prompt accompanies the larger Gemini title text.
- Suggestion chips are now vertical; 'Write' is 'Write anything', 'Build' becomes 'Build an idea'.
- The conversation screen sees the account switcher replaced by a new chat button, and conversation options include share, pin, rename, or delete.
User Experience
These enhancements aim to modernize the interface, although some users might notice inconsistencies on the homepage. Despite minor concerns, the redesign largely hopes to improve user interaction.
