Google has introduced a significant redesign of its Voice Search feature for Android, offering new visual elements and features.
New Interface and Features
The updated Voice Search in the Google app on Android features a centered 'G' gradient, a back button, and a three-dot menu for settings. Users can configure languages, enable or disable spoken results, and choose from voices named Cosmo, Neso, Terra, and Cassini. The dark theme received updates as well.
Song Search and Additional Tools
A new "Search a song" button allows users to "Play, Sing, Hum," simplifying music discovery. The bottom of the interface includes a four-color arc adopted from AI Mode and Search Live, with query transcription displayed above.
The redesign begins with Google app versions 17.1 (stable) and 17.2 (beta). However, it is not yet widely available to all users.
