RuStore, the prominent Android application store from Russia, has opened its platform to Korean developers as of 2023. Managed by VK Company Limited with support from the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, RuStore launched in 2022 and quickly became a major app marketplace.
Developer Access and Market Opportunity
The platform boasts over 60 million monthly active users and is installed on more than 100 million devices. With over 80,000 registered apps, around half of these come from international developers. This move provides Korean developers access to one of the world's largest mobile application markets, especially appealing given the rising popularity of Asian mobile games on RuStore, which perform well in downloads and sales.
Collaborative Initiatives
RuStore has developed integrated tools for app development, operation, and marketing, enhancing its appeal to international developers. Recently, RuStore and Korea's NSPEC signed a memorandum of understanding at the joint booth of the 2025 Tokyo Game Show. This agreement seeks to bring the shooter game "Worldon" to the Russian market and strengthen worldwide distribution partnerships.
