Gmail has introduced a new feature for Android users, enhancing email notifications with attachment previews. This update provides a quick view of both the email title and the attachment within the notification panel.
Features in the Update
The updated notifications now display the sender and an attachment preview on the right side. Users can expand these notifications for a larger view. If the email contains an attachment, its preview takes precedence over the message body within the notification. To access the full message text, users must open Gmail.
In addition to this feature, other Gmail updates include an 'Arriving Soon' section for upcoming deliveries, nudges for offers in the Promotions tab, and a Workspace Calendar integration that allows adding booking pages to email drafts, streamlining scheduling.
Rollout and Availability
The rollout for this update began in late November 2025. However, the release has been gradual and slow, with not all personal accounts receiving the update immediately.
