Balatro Mobile Ports Set to Launch

LocalThunk and PlayStack have announced that the highly anticipated Android and iOS mobile ports of Balatro will be arriving on September 26, 2024. What’s more, these ports will also be accompanied by a release on Apple Arcade. For those who are not familiar, Apple Arcade is a subscription service priced at $4.99 per month, while the standalone version of the game will cost $9.99 on the App Store and Google Play.

For those who may need a refresher, Balatro is a roguelike deckbuilder game that is based on Poker. Players collect playing cards for their deck, acquire Jokers with unique effects, and use planetary and tarot cards to enhance their gameplay. The goal is to overcome increasingly difficult challenges by meeting specific scoring objectives. The game offers both campaign and challenge modes, with post-launch updates introducing new cosmetics inspired by popular games like The Witcher.

Balatro originally made its debut on consoles and PCs back in February 2024 and has since received regular updates. Physical versions of the game have also been announced, and it has even made appearances in other games. Fans can look forward to a crossover event with Dave the Diver in October 2024.

The upcoming Android, Apple iOS, and Apple Arcade versions of Balatro are set to launch on September 26, 2024. In the meantime, the game is already available on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
