e-Routes is essentially a navigation app for Stellantis EV drivers with a few clever features. Much like an ordinary navigation app like Google Maps or Apple Maps, you can input a destination to e-Routes and it will plan the best route, but it will also take into account your vehicle’s range and any necessary charging stops along the way. That could be a really handy feature for some – especially those who like to take their EV on longer trips.
e-Routes pulls all sorts of information from your car to help it calculate the ideal route, including current battery charge level, remaining range and air temperature – Stellantis goes as far as to claim its routing algorithm is the “benchmark on the market” for such systems.
Like Google Maps and Apple Maps, e-Routes is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so once you’ve connected your phone to your car, e-Routes will appear on your infotainment display and can be controlled via the car’s touchscreen.
e-Routes is exclusive to electric cars from Stellantis. In the UK, that includes models from Peugeot, Citroen, Fiat, Abarth, Vauxhall, Alfa Romeo and Jeep.
How much does e-Routes cost?
For new vehicle purchases, e-Routes is included in the optional Connect Plus pack. For those who ordered a compatible car before 3rd July 2023, e-Routes can be purchased as a standalone service, costing £4 a month or £40 a year.
