Maid of Sker Horror Game to Launch on iOS and Android Next Month

19 Aug 2024

Wales Interactive’s first-person survival horror game Maid of Sker is set to make its debut on iOS and Android devices in the coming month. The game, which has already been released on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch, received enhanced versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X with technical upgrades.

A Haunting Experience

If you haven’t had the chance to experience it yet, Maid of Sker takes place in a haunted hotel with ties to British folklore. Players must rely on a single sound device to navigate through the game, avoiding sound-based AI enemies as the main survival challenge. The game aims to combine realistic visuals with elements of psychological, gothic, and British horror.

One interesting feature of Maid of Sker is its re-imagining of the Welsh folk song “Y Ferch o’r Sger”. The game has received positive feedback from those who have played it on PC, with many praising its immersive gameplay.

Mobile Release Details

For mobile gamers, Maid of Sker will be available as a free-to-start game, with a single in-app purchase required to unlock the full experience. The game is scheduled to launch on September 10th on the App Store, where it can be pre-ordered for iOS. Android users can pre-register for the game on Google Play.

The full unlock of Maid of Sker on mobile is expected to be priced around $3.99, significantly lower than the cost on PC and consoles. Horror enthusiasts may want to consider playing the game on PS5 for the best experience, taking advantage of the DualSense features.

Whether you’re a returning player or looking to try Maid of Sker for the first time, the mobile release next month offers a new way to experience this chilling adventure.
