Minecraft Blast Begins Mobile Playtest in Malaysia

14 Nov 2025

Minecraft Blast, the latest mobile game from Mojang and King, has begun early playtesting in Malaysia. Available on the Apple App Store, the playtest will run for one to two weeks, offering gamers a chance to experience the fusion of block-matching with Minecraft-style crafting and base-building.

Gameplay Mechanics

The game combines classic block-matching with dynamic Minecraft crafting elements. Players match blocks to break adjacent blocks and clear targets, utilizing special icons like fireworks to generate spectacular effects. Between missions, players craft tools and expand bases using pre-designated designs, providing depth to its gameplay.

Testing Scope and Features

Mojang noted that the current test build is a preliminary version containing limited content and features. Feedback from these early testers will guide future expansions. While the game will include typical mobile monetization components such as energy and consumables, further platform expansions are planned beyond Malaysia.

No PC version is currently in development, but the company intends to widen the testing pool to other regions and platforms soon, reflecting their commitment to adaptation through player insights.
