WinBoard Portable is a small application with which you can play chess on your own. If you are a big fan of this well-known board game, then you'll love that this program includes several versions of chess, from the international to the Chinese, Japanese, and Makruk versions. The way it works is very simple. You just have to know the rules and choose the mode you want to play in: either against a chess engine or using Internet connection sharing (ICS) which allows you to play against people from all over the world and even chat with them as you do so. Once you've chosen the mode, your game will appear on the screen. By default you'll play as white, but you can change this whenever you want. WinBoard Portable works using your mouse; all you have to do is click on the piece you want to move and the places you can move it will automatically appear on the board. In Wikirunner there are two players: a chaser and a runner. The chaser has to reach the same page the runner is on using the internal links of every Wikipedia article. The runner has to escape the chaser by using the internal links as well. Seems simple, right? In practice, it's not easy at all. Aside from the difficulty of finding the right link in every moment, you also have to take into account the time. If you take too long to find a link that can lead you to the runner, the other player could click on a link that's completely different from the ones you're following, making you start over from scratch. It should be noted that Wikirunner uses only the English version of Wikipedia. So if English isn't your first language, you might find the game a bit too difficult.

That's where Vroom, your protagonist, enters: it earns a living in these shows by cutting down as much as it can while dodging dangerous objects, like bombs and fruit, thrown by the audience. The more objects you can cut in a showing, the more money you'll earn to buy items for your house, which starts out with absolutely nothing. And as you buy furniture and other things, Vroom gains more abilities. The Chains of Poverty is an all-out absurd game that does nothing to mask its absurdity. It's fun to play, with graphics that recall the classic game The Binding of Isaac, which is never a bad thing.

Your goal is to go as far as possible while collecting as many coins as you can. The problem is that you will run into all sorts of obstacles and enemies along the way. These range from plants that come out of the green pipes to flying toads. Everything that you encounter in your path, except coins or stars, will hurt you. And you only have three hearts before you fall to the ground. Super Aerial Bros is simple and fun, and it is ideal for short games. The best thing about it is that you can either play alone or with a friend on the same computer, as one of you controls Mario and the other, Luigi.

In addition to the normal characters that you can choose to use in a fight against a friend playing on the same computer, in Steel Warriors you'll meet more than twenty different bosses if you decide to play the game's story mode. When an elephant touches your Jeep, you'll lose a heart, so you need to shoot them before they reach you. As would be expected, taking an elephant down requires several shots. However, you will occasionally see more powerful weapons floating around in the sky. If you shoot the weapons when they appear, you will be able to use them, making your job easier for a few seconds. The goal of Safari Showdown is to last as long as possible, which will only happen if you manage to kill all of the elephants within shooting range. Safari Showdown is a simple and fun arcade game that, in addition to having addictive game mechanics, has great graphics similar to those of games like Zookeeper.

After it kills many laboratory workers, only three people are still alive. One of them is the creature, which has taken human form. Now, you (the only one of the three survivors with a gun) must try to figure out which of the other two is the creature by asking them different questions. In addition, you have to do so quickly, as the room will fill with gas in less than five minutes and all of you will die. Moments of Paranoia is a short adventure game in which you will have to make a very important decision. You can shoot either of the other two at any time, but you will never know for sure if you made the right decision... if there is such a thing.

I See You is a first-person horror adventure that, unlike the vast majority of games in this genre, doesn't try to scare you through the main character, but instead goes directly for the player sitting in front of the computer, mouse in hand. The backstory is straightforward: you'll be trapped inside a strange abandoned hospital, and have to find the right keys in order to escape. On the way, though, you'll encounter something that won't want you to get away. During the game you'll come across messages aimed at you, the player, that will try to scare and confuse you. Some of them will attack your perceptions directly, to make you more vulnerable. The best part of I See You, in any case, comes when you finally finish, something that shouldn't take you more than 15 minutes. I See You is a first-person horror adventure that will give you more than one good scare. Not recommended for the faint of heart.

Hold Fire is a very simple game in which the players have to cover three exits, shooting constantly at anything that moves so that no monsters will escape through them. At the beginning of the game you have a poor-quality pistol, and you can't transport yourself to the upper or lower hallways, you're trapped in the central one. The most important upgrades are those that allow you to move between hallways, which is vital to doing anything worthwhile. In the first level you play an average guy in an office building, but in the second level you're a knight in a castle. Hold Fire is a fast-paced, very fun game where players rely on their reflexes to progress through the game.

The music is simple but you know that simple games at first seem to be boring but at the end they become more and more attractive and addictive.

Env is a first person survival game set in a world on the brink of destruction, in which you have to try to survive all of the dangers caused by the world falling down (or up) around you for as long as you can. The entire game lasts just six minutes, during which you have to try to survive the end of the world. You will see how the ground begins to crumble beneath your feet, and you have to try not to fall into the abyss because if you do so, you will die. In addition to paying attention to the ground, you also have to avoid the water. If by chance you try to run away from the disaster, you will run into the water. And you will drown. And you will have to start all over again from the beginning. Bad luck to you. Visually speaking, Env is marvelous, particularly when there's lots of movement, as you'll see tons of blocks flying all over the screen. Env is a unique independent game with very interesting gameplay. In addition, it is visually stunning, though it does demand a lot from your computer.

EcksDee takes advantage of the Crystal Space technology and offers us really good graphics and lots of fun when challenging to be the winner of the spacial races. Although Ecksdee needs some work on it, it is already ready to be played and you'll enjoy it a lot. Three different Sceneries, your spaceship, your adversaries and only one goal: Be the first. Try to arrive to the checkpoints on time or your spaceship will explode in the middle of the circuit. Use the arrows to move your ship, A and Z to accelerate; C to shoot a laser beam and spacebar to increase the speed a bit more. In short, Ecksdee is a really good game which can become excellent if it continues to be developed as it is being until now.
