The issue arises when using the window close function, spawning multiple instances instead of ending the process. These instances consume additional CPU and RAM resources, potentially affecting overall system performance. The update's changelog does not address this bug, and Microsoft has yet to acknowledge the problem.

Resolution Options

Users experiencing this issue can manually close individual Task Manager instances using the "End task" function within the app itself. Alternatively, all instances can be terminated through an elevated Command Prompt by executing: taskkill /im taskmgr.exe /f.
