Paradox Advised to Change 'Bloodlines 2' Name by Developer

Dan Pinchbeck, co-founder of The Chinese Room, recommended Paradox reconsider the title of 'Bloodlines 2' due to its weak connection to the first installment of Vampire: The Masquerade—Bloodlines. The Chinese Room was approached to continue development on 'Bloodlines 2' after Hardsuit Labs. Pinchbeck expressed a desire to integrate their storytelling while honoring the game's mythos, but they were faced with budget and time constraints. The studio suggested a departure from an open-world RPG to a more focused experience akin to Dishonored.
