Microsoft focused on interface consistency with revisions to login methods and Windows Hello on the lock screen. Quality-of-life changes include context menu dividers and the ability to reposition hardware indicators like brightness and volume controllers.
Dialogs in the Settings app were updated to align with Windows 11's design ethos.
New Apps and Features
The Recall app introduces a homepage overview and brings recent activity to the forefront for users. Copilot+ PC users benefit from curated snapshots of app activity, and now can use natural-language searches to change system settings.
A revamped Start menu is anticipated later in the year. According to Microsoft, further features are expected to enhance AI as well as system usability and security throughout the remainder of 2025.
