Microsoft released significant updates for Windows 11 (versions 24H2 and 25H2) on 2025-10-28. The updates introduce several enhancements on Copilot+ PCs and broader system improvements.
Copilot+ Enhancements
Version 25H2 was upgraded to build 26200.7019, while 24H2 moved to 26100.7019. Copilot+ PCs see enhancements such as Click to Do improvements with a streamlined prompt box, on-screen translation, and unit conversion. It now supports Freeform and Rectangle selection, Live Persona card interactions, and visual cues. The update enables two-finger touch to open Click to Do features. File Explorer gains hover actions for quick commands like "Open file location" and "Ask Copilot." Improvements in Voice Access include Fluid Dictation and configurable command delays. The Agent in Settings now adds French language support, and semantic Windows Search becomes available on all Copilot+ PCs.
System-Wide Improvements
Windows 11 sees a redesigned Start menu, now with a scrollable All section, category and grid views, and Phone Link integration. The taskbar battery icon now indicates charge and health, displaying the battery percentage. File Explorer Home for Microsoft account users now shows recommended files and supports third-party cloud integration. Other updates include lock screen battery icons and the renaming of Email & accounts to Your accounts in Settings. The update introduces an Administrator Protection preview available via Windows Security, Intune, or Group Policy. Numerous security fixes, updated on-device AI models, and a servicing stack update were included. These features will be part of a Controlled Feature Release, rolling out gradually.
