Galaxy XR Adds PC Connect to Enhance Windows Integration

Google has expanded the capabilities of Samsung's Galaxy XR with new features, introducing PC Connect to facilitate interaction between Windows and Android XR.

PC Connect Features

PC Connect, currently in beta, links Windows to Android XR for a seamless app experience.

• Users can display their desktop or any app window from Google Play alongside native apps.
• High frame rate and full resolution are supported over Wi-Fi.
• Input bridging allows a keyboard and mouse paired with either device to control both.

This feature uses low-latency technology from Stadia, with Google testing games like 'Stray' on Windows controlled via a PS5 controller.

Additional Features and Availability

Upcoming features include Travel Mode, maintaining visual stability in motion, and Likeness, a personal avatar mirroring real-time facial and hand gestures.

Likeness is created through a phone app and is now in beta. Mac support for PC Connect is anticipated in the next year.
