Menace, a strategy game from Overhype Studios, has expanded its demo during the Steam Next Fest to include new missions and several balance changes.
Demo Enhancements
The updated demo for Menace introduces ten new missions as part of the 'Thwart Invasion' operation. Additionally, more weapons and walkers have been added to enhance gameplay variety.
Community-Driven Changes
Over 100,000 players have engaged with the Menace demo, providing feedback that led to numerous bug fixes and gameplay adjustments. Among the community, the demo has received about 600 'very positive' reviews, highlighting its success.
Balance Adjustments
In response to feedback, Overhype Studios has implemented several balance changes. The once overpowered pirate flame truck has seen its health and armor reduced, making it less dominant. Line-of-sight markers have also been revised to better align with player expectations.
The full version of Menace is set to release on 2026-02-05, while the updated demo is currently available for players.
