Cities: Skylines 2 Launches Bridges DLC on October 29

10 Oct 2025

The Cities: Skylines 2 expansion, Bridges and Ports DLC, will be released on October 29, 2023, offering new maritime construction features.

New Features and Pricing

Colossal Order’s latest expansion for Cities: Skylines 2, the Bridges and Ports DLC, offers a comprehensive suite of new features centered around coastline and water-based construction. Priced at $19.99 / £16.99, it includes customizable harbors with integrated ore yards and storage facilities. Additional commercial options include passenger terminals, a maritime museum, and emergency response units. A bundled offer with the Cold Wave Channel radio station is available for $22.49 / £18.89.

The expansion introduces infrastructure additions like 20 types of drawbridges for vehicular and pedestrian traffic, and lift bridges supporting rail and ferry services.

Enhancements in Gameplay

Maritime industries within the game are enhanced with fishing piers, open-water boats, and offshore farms. Players can also manage oil fields and design leisure facilities such as shoreline resorts and piers. The expansion adds nine new park types, over 100 new assets, and multiple lighthouse designs.

Challenges and Expectations

Despite its ambitious additions, Cities: Skylines 2 struggles with performance, especially on older PCs, and retains a mixed Steam score of 53%. The Bridges and Ports DLC, which faced previous delays after missing Colossal Order's standards, seeks to fill content gaps but still leaves unresolved traffic issues and delays in bicycle and asset editor features.

With this launch, Colossal Order aims to attract players interested in enhanced connectivity and maritime construction, hoping that the new $19.99 content proves its value amidst ongoing gameplay challenges.
