Steam users reported over 6,000 cases of the service being down at approximately 1:15 PM ET on 2023-10-01. The outage has resulted in the inability to access the Steam application on both desktop and mobile platforms.
According to SteamDB, the downtime affects popular games such as Team Fortress 2, Dota 2, and Counter-Strike 2. Valve has not yet released an official statement regarding the situation.

This is not the first time Steam has faced such issues; a similar outage occurred in October, during which the platform was unavailable for an hour.
