X1 Box is a paid app based on Xemu, an existing free and open-source emulator that currently runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux. After the X1 Box release, fans alerted the Xemu team. The team said it was aware of the paid app and found it unfortunate that the X1 Box developer did not reach out to collaborate on an official Xemu Android app. Xemu confirmed a free official Android release is in the works and said it will make the paid app moot. There is no timeline yet for the Android release; if you can wait, you could save the $7.99 purchase.
