Respawn Changes Apex Legends Battle Pass Purchasing
Developer Respawn has announced a significant change to how players can purchase Apex Legends battle passes. In a recent blog post, the studio revealed that players will now only be able to acquire battle passes using real-world currency, rather than the in-game currency previously used.
Additionally, Respawn announced that there will now be two battle passes available per season. The first battle pass will be available at the start of the season, while the second will be released after the mid-season split.
This new system is set to launch alongside the upcoming 22nd season of content for Apex Legends. In their blog post, Respawn emphasized their commitment to creating the best possible experience for players.
“You know that we’re all-in on creating the best experience,” Respawn wrote. “We’re frequently iterating on the game, chatting with players, and considering how we can act on community feedback—from casuals to pros. Today we’re announcing a brand new Battle Pass experience that will launch with Season 22.”
Respawn also highlighted that these changes are not just a notification, but also an insight into how they have improved the value of the battle pass, reduced the time needed to unlock high-end items, and more.
