To install Minecraft modpacks without CurseForge, you can use alternative launchers like MultiMC, GDLauncher, or ATLauncher which provide easy installation of modpacks. Download the desired modpack files manually from sources like Modrinth or the modpack's official website, then import the files into the launcher. Ensure you have the correct version of Minecraft and required mods. Follow any additional instructions provided with the modpack for proper installation.

To download Minecraft modpacks from CurseForge, go to the CurseForge website and navigate to the Minecraft section. Browse or search for the desired modpack. Click on the modpack to open its page, then click the 'Files' tab to see all available versions. Select the version compatible with your Minecraft and click the download button. You can also use the CurseForge app to directly download and install modpacks into your Minecraft game by simply searching for the modpack and clicking the install button.

To add an essential mod to a CurseForge modpack, open the CurseForge app and go to 'My Modpacks.' Select the modpack you want to edit and click on the '…' menu button.
