FCEUX FAQ

To play FDS ROMs on FCEUX, first ensure you have the FDS BIOS file (usually named disksys.rom) and place it in the same directory as your FCEUX executable. Open FCEUX, go to 'File' > 'Open' and select your FDS ROM file. The emulator will automatically load the BIOS file and start the game. Remember that FDS games often require you to switch disk sides; you can do this by going to 'File' > 'FDS' > 'Switch Disk Side'.

To use cheats in FCEUX, first load your game. Then go to 'Tools' > 'Cheats'. In the Cheats window, you can add a new cheat by clicking 'Add'. Enter the cheat code and a description, then click 'OK'. To enable or disable a cheat, check or uncheck the box next to the cheat in the list. You can also import cheat files if you have them.

To unpause a game in FCEUX, simply press the 'Pause' button again, which is usually mapped to the 'P' key by default. If you've customized your controls and aren't sure which key is mapped to 'Pause', you can check or change it in the 'Config' menu by selecting 'Input' and then 'Configure Keyboard' or 'Configure Controller'.

To use a controller with FCEUX, first connect your controller to your computer. Open FCEUX and go to 'Config' > 'Input'. Choose the controller you want to configure (usually 'Port 1' for Player 1). Click 'Configure' and press the buttons on your controller to map them to the desired in-game actions. Once completed, press 'OK' to save your settings.

To change controls in FCEUX, open the emulator and go to 'Config' > 'Input'. Here you'll see options for 'Configure Keyboard' and 'Configure Controller'. Select the device you wish to configure. For keyboards, click 'Configure Keyboard' and then press the keys you want to assign to different actions. For controllers, click 'Configure' and press the corresponding buttons on your controller.
