The MyMetaStories festival returns for a second edition in October 2024. This innovative festival, run by Unifrance and supported by the European Commission’s Europe Créative Volet MEDIA, stands out for its unique use of the video game Minecraft® to bring European films to a global audience. By combining VOD platforms and the immersive world of Minecraft®, MyMetaStories aims to raise awareness of European films among young cinema-goers. This year’s dates are October 11 to November 3, 2024, with a special Minecraft® experience from October 18 to 21, 2024.
A Unique Cinematic Experience
MyMetaStories offers a unique cinematic experience, transforming Minecraft® into a virtual cinema. Players can discover a selection of short films specially programmed for the event. The aim is to capture the interest of young players and gradually guide them towards longer formats and traditional modes of consumption, whether on digital platforms or in traditional cinemas. The full line-up of films will be unveiled in early September, promising a diversity of genres and styles to suit all tastes.
