InSSIDer FAQ

To use inSSIDer to find a hidden SSID, you need to run the software while being in close proximity to the hidden network. Although inSSIDer cannot directly display hidden SSIDs, it can show the MAC address and performance characteristics of all nearby networks, including hidden ones. By correlating this information with other known data about the hidden network, you might infer its presence and location. For more accurate results, use a Wi-Fi adapter that supports monitoring mode.

To use inSSIDer, first download and install the software from the official site. Launch the program and it will automatically start scanning for wireless networks in your vicinity. The main interface displays a list of detected networks along with their details like SSID, signal strength, channel, security type, and more. Use the visual graphs and network details to analyze network performance, detect interference, and optimize Wi-Fi settings.
