On Friday, June 28, Microsoft rolled out fresh Windows Insider Program builds for Windows 11 in the Canary and Beta channels, as well as a new Windows Server Insider build. Unfortunately, members of the Dev channel did not receive a new build, but some exciting features were introduced to them on Friday. However, these features were abruptly halted on June 30 for reasons unknown.
Given that the updates were released at the end of the work week, questions arose about whether Microsoft intended to release new Insider builds this week. With the upcoming Independence Day holiday in the US on July 4, many speculated that the Windows Insider team might take a break before the holiday.
Clarification from Microsoft
After reaching out to Brandon LeBlanc, the Senior Program Manager on the Windows Insider Team, for clarification, he responded with a message indicating that there would likely be no new flights this week. While this response was not a definitive confirmation, it suggests that members should not anticipate any new versions to download before Friday, July 5.
Looking Ahead
Looking ahead, next week promises not only new builds but also Patch Tuesday on July 9. This means that all Windows 10 and 11 users can expect official updates containing security patches and PC enhancements.
