Key Fixes and Enhancements
The latest update for Windows 11, designated KB5041587 (OS Build 22621.4112 and 22631.4112), includes crucial fixes for explorer.exe crashes. Additionally, Microsoft has introduced enhancements aimed at improving accessibility within File Explorer. Notably, a fix has been implemented to address an issue where screen readers inaccurately reported the focus state of panes in Explorer.
Moreover, the update rectifies a problem that hindered the functionality of the “Ctrl + F” shortcut, which some users found ineffective as File Explorer failed to execute keyword searches. Other fixes primarily enhance the basic functionality of File Explorer, including a resolution for a bug that caused keyboard focus to be lost when the Shift + Tab keys were pressed.
